School Age Before and After Care
Program Description
Before and After school programs (KPS and CERR) are designed to engage the many curiosities of children through exploration, play and inquiry by honouring the child’s rich potential as competent and capable learner.
The children are actively engaged with Before and After Program educators to create program activities based on the children’s interests.
For Kindergarten aged children, activities include:
- Exploring the indoors and outdoors
- Creating with the arts
- Discovering science
- Engaging in mathematics and literacy activities
- Developing social skills, gross and fine motor skills and problem solving
For School Aged children in grades 1 to 6:
- Opportunities for daily physical activity in safe, healthy environments that encourage and guide children to develop friendships
- Creating with the arts
- Opportunities for leadership development and helping children learn new skills
- A fun and club-like environment that promotes a sense of belonging, with opportunities for children to discover more about themselves and their community
- Strong relationships with children, families and professional partners are foundational in our Before and After program.
NGLC Before and After educators will continually seek ways to ensure meaningful and ongoing communication.

Hours
7:00 am until morning bell and afternoon bell until 6:00 pm

- JK- and SK-aged children
- Children 6–12 years old
- PD Days, Snow Days, and March Break also available
